What is 'IT' and 'MIS' ?

Assalamualaikum.  Hye guys.

This is my first entry and I would like to share with all of you 

about Business Driven Technology.

Do you know what is information technology? Information technology is everywhere in business. It is significant because it plays a key role in the management and keep of huge amounts of information. It is also used in medical fields in certain diagnosis procedures as well as in engineering to collect and exchange demographic data.  

Actually, information technology is important to us because it provides greater insight to anyone learning about business. That's why we should be alert and understand whatever information that have been given by any resources. 

This is an example of information technology.

In a business context, the Information Technology Association of America has defined information technology as "the study, design, development, application, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems".  Yeah! 210% totally agree. Now, let we continue to 'MIS'. You're surely dont know what it is mean, right? :D

'MIS' is management information system which is provides information that organizations require to manage themselves efficiently and effectively. Management information systems are typically computer systems used for managing.  The five primary components are

• Hardware
• Software
• Data (information for decision making)
• Procedures (design,development and documentation)
• People (individuals, groups, or organizations)

Management information systems are distinct from other information systems because they are used to analyze and facilitate strategic and operational activities.
